What is a DxDiag.exe?
DxDiag is stand for DirectX Diagnostic Tool is a diagnostics tool used to test DirectX functionality and troubleshoot video or sound-related hardware problems. This function is being used to find out the combination between hardware and its drivers. Below is the image of the Dxdiag function which is being shown on Window 10 64bits pro.
As the image below, it shows Few Tabs which there are System, Display, Sound, Input and below the panel shows the Help, Next Page, Save All Information and Exit button.
Tabs Overview on DxDiag.exe
System Tab is showing the general information of your computer such as Current Date Time, Computer Name, Model, etc. All of the specification of your computer is showing in this tab as you are looking for specification of the computer, please see the System Information box.
Display Tab is showing of the screen driver which it bases on your computer hardware of the display graphics. Most of the computer are using Intel Chipset. If the DirectX feature does not enable, it means that your computer VGA driver does not support to your System.
Sound Tab is telling you where the sound of your system is being used.
Input Tab is the DirectX Input devices such as Keyboard or Mouse which is being plugged into your system.
How to Run DxDiag.exe?
As the computer users, sometime you have to understand your system model in order to prevent any damage or illegal information from your computer repair shop or even you want to buy the new computer and see the specification only in the paper. To make sure the specification of the computer is correct, you have to check the System Information by Type Window + R to open Run Dialogue then type dxdiag after that press Enter or Ok
